With the Sharks' four week break Mtyanda along with Gold found that it is in the player’s best interest to return to the Lowveld where he will receive more game time.

Pumas' coach MJ Mentz has welcome the decision, and has already named the lock is his starting 22 to face the Lions XV in a Currie Cup match on June 4.

"We had one of our training sessions at the KaNyamazane Stadium and I'm very impressed with the pitch conditions. I predict a fast running game.

"Giant's return to the squad brings a new vibe to the team and his experience is worth a lot. In the same breath, his return gives us an opportunity to rest some of our players," Mentz stated.
