Golden Lions lose Vorster
He suffered the injury during his sides 44-27 victory over the Pumas in Johannesburg and comes as a big blow to coach Johan Ackermann but he still believes Vorster will be able to make an impact upon his return to play during the 2016 season.
"Harold will be a big loss for us and the injury is rather unfortunate as he has had a great season and did well at both 12 and 13 respectively. I also believe he made huge strides this year and was in good form throughout, so we are disappointed by this loss.
"We would like wish him all the best with his recovery and I know that he will come back and make a big contribution when he returns to action in six months," Ackermann said.
Vorster will undergo surgery this week.
In other injury news, Andries Coetzee is continuing to progress well after sustaining a toe injury in the build-up to the Currie Cup and will begin agility training this week, with his comeback expected to be made around mid-September.
Derick Minnie is also making good progress on his knee injury and return to play during the 2016 Super Rugby competition.
