Ill-discipline frustrates Bulls coach
REACTION: Blue Bulls head coach Pote Human believes his team’s ill-discipline played a big role in their 35-38 defeat to the Golden Lions at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
It was the Bulls’ second defeat of the season and they now sit fourth in the Currie Cup standings, three points behind Western Province, Golden Lions and the Sharks.
Human’s side led 35-24 heading into the last 15 minutes before two tries from No.8 Hacjivah Dayimani helped the visiting Lions walk away with the victory.
“I’m very disappointed with the discipline,” Human told reporters after the game.
“Last week there were only five penalties against us and then this week suddenly there was high tackles, neck rolls and offsides. It is not us and we have to work on that before next week.”
Defence is another area of concern for the Bulls coaching team ahead of their next match against Griquas in Kimberley.
“The structure was there but we missed one-on-one tackles and that comes down to attitude.
“At times I thought we kept them out, but then one slipped and you can’t do that against this backline,” he added.
