Jordaan out for six months

Sharks' centre, Paul Jordaan will be out of action for approximately six months after undergoing surgery for a fracture dislocation on his hip.

Jordaan felt the brunt of a tackle in the Sharks' 26-23 victory over the Lions at Kings Park.

Another notable who will miss the the next match is hooker Kyle Cooper who will remain on the sidelines for a week as he recovers from an ankle injury.

The Sharks head to Newlands to take on Western Province in their final pool match and will be going all out to secure maximum points in their bid to secure a home semifinal.

They are currently in third position on the log, just two points behind the Lions who occupy second place.

A win for the KZN side, coupled with a loss for the Lions, will see them move ahead of the Joburg side and, in the process, secure a home semifinal.
