On Saturday, the Pretoria franchise confirmed that Pumas duo Devon Williams (fullback) and Deon Slabbert (lock) will be joining them on loan.

Both players played integral roles in the Pumas’ Currie Cup-winning season in 2022 and they were in the starting line-up when they beat Griquas in the Final in Kimberley.

They were also prominent figures in the Pumas’ run to this year’s Currie Cup Final, which they lost against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

Williams has been a stalwart for the Nelspruit team since 2016 and he has previously represented the Stormers and Western Province.

Slabbert joined the Pumas in 2022 and he was previously linked with a move to the Dragons in Wales.

Williams and Slabbert are the latest in a long list of players to join the Bulls ahead of the new season.

Springbok fullback Willie le Roux will also be heading to Pretoria.

The other new players include Wilco Louw, Jannes Kirsten, Sebastian de Klerk, Jaco van der Walt, Henry Immelman, Sergeal Petersen and Khutha Mchunu.
