Flyhalf Kade Wolhuter has been ruled out for the season after suffering a knee injury.

The 21-year-old revealed that he has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear, which is an injury he has suffered before.

“What a way to bring the season to an end!” Wolhuter said in an Instagram post.

“Second ruptured ACL, right knee this time, so at least I’ll be symmetrical!

“Tough nine months ahead of me, but we’ve done it once before so bring it on again.”

Wolhuter has been a key figure in WP’s 2023 Currie Cup campaign. The Capetonians are currently fourth in the standings with three wins and three defeats.

With Wolhuter out, WP are set to rely on Jean-Luc du Plessis and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu to fill the flyhalf role.
