Bulls' MVP and new kit unveiled
AWARDS: The Blue Bulls Company held their 2018 awards ceremony on Thursday.
RG Snyman was the named the Blue Bulls’ Most Valuable Player (senior player) for the 2018 season, while Jesse Kriel was was recognised as the Super Rugby Player of the Year.
Lodewyk de Jager, Ivan Zyl and Marco van Staden also picked up awards for their performances in Super Rugby.
The Currie Cup Player of the Year award went to Ruan Steenkamp. See all winners below.
Meanwhile, the Bulls also unveiled their kit for the 2019 Super Rugby season.
“The design of the new jersey is inspired by the courageous protectors of Fortress Loftus,” said a media release from the Bulls.
“The key visual design elements on the shirt are a chain mail underlay and panels in shades of blue representing the plates of body armour that protect warriors going into battle. The geometric panels are also arranged to create a graphic illustration of the head of a Bull.
“Furthermore, the Bulls will play their local derbies in a third kit based on a Marvel Comics superhero. This kit will be launched in January.”
