Sykes and Greef cleared to play
They can be considered for Currie Cup action this weekend following the outcomes of their SARU Judicial Hearings.
The hearings took place via teleconference and advocate Robert Stelzner acted as the Judicial Officer in both cases.
Greeff was cited for a dangerous tackle in the Currie Cup match against the Free State Cheetahs last Friday in Kimberley. The citing was not upheld and Greeff can therefore play this coming weekend.
Sykes received two yellow cards in their clash against the Pumas last Friday in Port Elizabeth.
He was yellow carded in the 35th minute for charging into a ruck and tackling a Pumas player dangerously above the shoulders, and also issued with an off-the-field yellow card for alleged foul play.
However, advocate Stelzner ruled that the two yellow cards were sufficient punishment and that no further sanction should be imposed on the player.
