WP out to right the wrongs

The Cape side are still without a win in this year's Currie Cup Premier Division and are currently seventh on the standings. Captain Chris van Zyl said they have been working hard on the training field this week to try and improve on some of the basics of the game.

"We do feel that we have turned a corner," said Van Zyl.

"We had a tough Monday and Tuesday. We have done a bit of reflection and we are all aware of where the issue lies.

"It is basically ball security. We are trying to get that right on the training field and we want to make sure that we take it through to the weekend."

Van Zyl also believes that they are not patient enough when they are in the strike zone with ball in hand.

"I don't get the feeling that the guys are anxious. I think it is more the case of not being patient enough or we are not sticking to the plan," he added.

Western province will start the match as favourites, but Van Zyl said that they are well aware of how plucky the Kings can be.

"They had 15 scrums against the Bulls, which means they got energy and they are going to disrupt play.

"It is so important for us to build confidence and show that we can hold onto the ball and by doing that I got no doubt that we will build phases and get the rewards," he said.
