Pumas welcome host of new faces
TRANSFER TRACKER: The Pumas are bidding farewell to a few players, but also announced a host of new faces joining them.
The Pumas finished fifth in the Currie Cup, having won three of their seven games and scoring 31 tries in their campaign, the third most in the competition.
The team from Nelspruit is saying their farewells to three players. They are Stefan Coetzee, Kwanda Dimaza, and Dewald Maritz.
The 27-year-old Coetzee has shone for the Pumas during the Currie Cup, earning their Player of the Season award, and will link up with his new team in the coming weeks.
Loose forward Dimaza is on his way to Boland. He joined the Pumas ahead of the newly formed Super Rugby Unlocked competition in October 2020.
Also heading to Boland is homegrown prop Maritz, who also spent a bulk of his time at the Bulls.
New players who will don the pink Pumas jersey next season are Bryan le Roux (tighthead, Bulls), Gustav du Rand (Photo: hooker, Griquas), Kudzwai Dube (loosehead, EP), Andre Goedhals (flank, WP), Raegan Oranje (scrumhalf, Cheetahs), Thomas Bursey (scrumhalf, Griquas) and Alfonso Isaacs (centre/wing, Bulls)
