Well-travelled hardman Willie Engelbrecht will lead the Pumas out in this year’s Currie Cup campaign.

Engelbrecht, who joined the Pumas in 2017, also went on loan to the Stormers in 2022 and 2023.

These sides met during the 2025 Currie Cup season, with the Sharks claiming a hard-fought 19-13 victory at Kings Park.

The result ended the Pumas’ hopes of securing a semifinal place, while the Sharks finished their campaign on a high after a difficult season.
