Champions Cup: Bulls and Stormers to face familiar foes in last 16

NEWS: The Bulls and Stormers will face familiar French opposition in the last 16 of this season’s Champions Cup.

The Stormers will face Stade Rochelais again in Cape Town.

The Capetonians recorded a 21-20 win over the defending champions in the pool stages in December.

Meanwhile, the Bulls will be up against Lyon in Pretoria. The Bulls suffered a 28-29 defeat to the French side in France last month.

*The four highest-ranked teams in each pool have secured their places in the Round of 16 and the two highest-ranked teams in each pool will have home advantage for the matches which will be played on the weekend of 5/6/7 April.

The following fifth-placed clubs in each pool have qualified for the Round of 16 of the EPCR Challenge Cup:
Pool One: Connacht
Pool Two: Ulster
Pool Three: Aviron Bayonnais
Pool Four: Sale Sharks

The exact dates and kick-off times of the Round of 16 fixtures will be announced at a future date.

NB The matches will be played in Europe and where relevant the highest-ranked teams from the pool stage will have home country advantage.
