Bumper weekend of rugby in south-west

The Twickenham Stoop will host the European Challenge Cup final between Clermont Auvergne and Bath on Saturday, May 19.

It means a bumper weekend of rugby in south-west London, with Twickenham hosting Wasps and Leicester in the Heineken Cup final the following day.

The Stoop, home of Harlequins, also hosted last season’s European Challenge Cup final when Gloucester beat London Irish after extra-time.

Bath confirmed their place in the final with a thrilling 31-30 victory over Saracens at Vicarage Road on Sunday.

Clermont Auvergne, the 1999 winners, overcame the Newport Gwent Dragons 46-29 and will meet the west country outfit in a 17.30pm (16:30pm GMT) kick-off.
