Kirchner out for final Euro games
Leinster will definitely be without Jack McGrath and Zane Kirchner for their final two European Rugby Champions Cup matches this month.
The Irish region confirmed that Springbok fullback Zane Kirchner will be out of action for up to four weeks.
"Zane suffered what we initially thought was bone bruising to his shin in the win against Ulster.
"However, having reported further discomfort yesterday morning, a further scan revealed a small fracture which will rule him out of action for four weeks," a statement read.
Additionally, Irish international prop McGrath was banned for three weeks after being cited for a stamping incident in the Pro12 game against Ulster.
Leinster decided not to appeal the decision.
"After considering all the options and taken considerable advice, including legal, Leinster Rugby have this afternoon confirmed that they will not be appealing the decision by the Pro12 disciplinary committee to suspend Jack McGrath for three weeks, effectively ruling him out of the two Champions Cup, Pool Two games this weekend and next," a statement read.
Leinster are still without their British & Irish Lions duo of Cian Healy and Sean O'Brien, although skipper Jamie Heaslip is making good progress in his battle to be fit to lead the side against Castres Olympique on Saturday.
Lock Tom Denton, who withdrew from the Cardiff Blues game last Saturday with a stiff neck, has also trained this week fully and is available for selection this weekend. Shane Jennings is also expected to be fit for selection.
Further down the line the Irish international loose forward duo of Kevin McLaughlin and Rhys Ruddock are getting closer to a return to the playing field.
McLaughlin is now out of his sling and is continuing his recovery from shoulder surgery, while the cast has been taken off Ruddock's forearm this week.
