Lions get some serious Bok muscle back

SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: Lions have named their 25-man squad to travel to Scotland for their EPCR Challenge Cup quarterfinal encounter against Glasgow Warriors.

The Lions head to Scotland full of confidence following theirĀ  Round of 16 victory over Racing 92 at Ellis Park last weekend.

Two-try hero from last week Marius Louw will captain the squad.

Lions head coach Ivan van Rooyen has included Stean Pienaar and Jarod Cairns in the squad.

The pair are rewarded for their great work during the Currie Cup win over Sharks last weekend.

Springbok Jaco Kriel returns to the squad for the crucial knockout fixture.

The flank missed last weekend’s ChallengeĀ  Cup knock-out match.

Unfortunately, the side will take on Glasgow without Emmanuel Tshituka and Reinhard Nothnagel.

Tshituka misses out due to suspension for dangerous play in last week’s Round of 16 against Racing 92.

Ruan Delport comes in at lock cover for Nothnagel who suffered an eye injury in last week’s match.
