Nemani's four-week ban for abusing ref
He faced a disciplinry hearing on Wednesday, following an incident in the European Rugby Challenge Cup Round One match against Edinburgh last Friday, November 13.
Nemani was sent off by referee Ben Whitehouse (Wales) in the 64th minute of the match for alleged verbal abuse of the referee in contravention of Law 10.4 (s).
The judicial officer, Jeremy Summers (England), heard evidence and submissions by video link from Nemani, who accepted the red card decision, from Grenoble Director of Rugby Fabrice Landreau, from Grenoble team manager Andrew Farley and from the EPCR disciplinary officer Liam McTiernan.
In upholding the red card decision, the disciplinary officer found that Nemani had verbally abused the referee and he determined that the offence was at the low end of World Rugby's sanctions and selected six weeks as the appropriate entry point.
He then reduced the sanction by two weeks due to Nemani's apology following the match, his timely guilty plea and good conduct during the hearing, before imposing a suspension of four weeks.
Nemani is free to play on Monday, December 14.
Both the player and EPCR have the right to appeal the decision.
