Sarries captain suffers ankle ligament damage

INJURY UPDATE: Saracens will keep a close eye on injured captain Brad Barritt.

The centre was forced off the field in the second half of his team’s 56-27 Champions Cup quarterfinal win over Glasgow Warriors and scans have revealed that the 32-year-old centre has suffered minor ankle ligament damage.

“Scans were relatively positive and the timeline for Barritt’s return will be determined by how he responds to treatment over the coming week,” the club said in a statement.

Saracens will face Munster in a Champions Cup semifinal on Saturday, April 20.
