Swiel's chance on the big stage

Sharks flyhalf Tim Swiel may make his European Cup starting debut for Harlequins with team-mate Nick Evans not available for the Leinster clash.

Swiel made his European debut last week when he came on for the injured Evans in a famous 24-18 victory over Leinster in London.

The Sharks youngster joined Harlequins as injury cover for Ben Botica during the Durban side's off season and now will have a chance to shine for the Quins with another injury at flyhalf.

Harlequins have confirmed captain Chris Robshaw and Evans will miss their Champions Cup tie against Leinster after sustaining injuries in the first leg last weekend.

Robshaw, who also skippers England, is struggling with a shoulder injury and has been referred to a specialist ruling him out of the re-match at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

Flyhalf Evans is also paying the price from a ferocious clash at the Twickenham Stoop.

The New Zealander kicked an early penalty before he was forced off with a groin injury after just 11 minutes.

He is also troubled by a back problem and will not travel to Ireland.
