Champions Cup winner Carlu Sadie extended his contract with Bordeaux-Bègles by an additional year, through the end of the 2029 Top 14 season.
Once a journeyman having represented the Stormers, Lions and Sharks, Sadie signed with Bordeaux in 2023, a move that proved career-defining after suffering a potentially career-ending neck injury, which ended his plans to join the Bulls during the Jake White era.
The bulky prop’s performances impressed the Bok coaching staff, which saw him earn a national call-up this season.
Sadie already had a taste of the green and gold jersey at senior level when the Boks faced the Barbarians in a non-Test match.
