SA teams learn their tough Euro pool opponents for 2025/26 season
POOL DRAWS: The Bulls have been drawn in the same pool as Bordeaux-Begles for the 2025/2026 Champions Cup season.
The French team showed their pedigree last season by winning the tournament after edging Northampton Saints in the Final.
To add some drama, the Saints will also be in Pool Four with Bordeaux and the Bulls.
Bristol Bears, Scarlets and Section Paloise are the other teams in the pool.
There will be no matches between teams from the same league in the Champions Cup.
Each team will play four matches against four different teams, who are not from the same league, either at home or away.
Meanwhile, for the second season in a row, the Sharks will have French giants Toulouse in their pool.
The sides met in Durban early this year, with the French side winning the encounter 20-8.
Pool One will be a tough one for John Plumtree’s side with matches against Saracens, Clermont and Sale Sharks also on the cards. Glasgow Warriors will be the other URC team in that Pool.
The Stormers have been drawn in Pool Three with Leinster, Leicester Tigers, Harlequins, Stade Rochelais and Aviron Bayonnais.
