England centre stars as Exeter rout Harlequins in Prem

MATCH REPORT: Exeter centre Henry Slade delivered an inspired display to underline his England credentials in a 38-0 rout of Harlequins on Sunday.

Slade scored 23 points with two tries, a penalty and five conversions in the English Prem clash at Sandy Park.

He also set up a try for Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, with Harvey Skinner and Greg Fisilau touching down as well.

Exeter handed debuts to Australia internationals Tom Hooper and Len Ikitau, but it was Slade who stole the show.

Slade kicked Exeter into a fourth-minute lead with a penalty.

With Exeter on top, Slade’s cross-field kick arrowed towards Feyi-Waboso, who powered past Tyrone Green to score his sixth try of the season.

Within 90 seconds, Exeter scored again as Slade powered through in a 30-metre dash to the line.

Harlequins made a mess of fielding an up-and-under to allow Skinner to win a kick and chase to touch down.

Slade added his third conversion to give Exeter a 24-0 lead at the interval.

Within four minutes of the restart, the hosts secured their bonus-point try when Fisilau crashed over to reward a period of sustained pressure.

Harlequins duo Cadan Murley and Harry Browne both spent time in the sin-bin.

Exeter took full advantage as Slade scored his second try to complete a miserable afternoon for the Londoners.
