NEWS: Gloucester Rugby announced that Australian flank Jordy Reid has signed a new contract with the Cherry & Whites.

The Sydney-born flanker initially arrived at Kingsholm from Ealing ahead of the 2020-21 season, however owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, Reid also played his part in the remainder of the 2019-20 over the summer.

Despite only being early in his career with Gloucester Rugby, in just 15 appearances, the hard-hitting back-rower has already made a name for himself in the Premiership.

Head Coach George Skivington has no doubt that Jordy will continue to excel for the Club.

“We’re really pleased that Jordy has extended his stay with us. He’s consistently shown a high level of performance for us since the day he arrived and has slotted into Premiership rugby seamlessly.

“He’s an explosive presence on the pitch, both with his powerful running with the ball in hand, but also his robust defence.

“We’re looking forward to seeing plenty more of Jordy in Cherry & White in the future.”
