Esterhuizen, who has eight Test caps for the Springboks, was shown a red card by referee Matthew Carley in the 48th minute of his team’s 25-21 victory over London Irish in the Premiership over the weekend.

This was for striking with the elbow, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.12.

Esterhuizen received a four-week suspension for the same offence back in December.

Meanwhile, Obano was shown a red card by referee Ian Tempest in the 73rd minute of the match between Wasps and Bath on Sunday.

This was for dangerous tackling, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.13.

The independent disciplinary panel for each hearing will comprise Jeremy Summers (chair) with two other panel members to be confirmed.
