Eastmond renews Bath contract

Eastmond, 26, is widely regarded as one of the most exciting playmakers in the European game. As part of an outstanding Bath backline, he says the choice to stay at the club was ultimately an easy one to make.

"I feel like we've started a really exciting time at Bath," said Eastmond, who joined the club from Rugby League side St Helens in 2011. "I don't think there are many rugby clubs with such a positive training and playing environment that's focused on making us the best players we can be, which makes this the ideal place for me to be playing."

Bathe head coach Mike Ford said: "Kyle is a big part of our drive for success here at Bath, so I'm very happy he's committed himself to the club.

"He's part of a young backline here that's already achieved some great things, but there is a lot more to come from them."
