Green reveals his future plans
CONTRACT NEWS: Harlequins announced that exciting fullback Tyrone Green has signed a new long-term deal to remain at the Club
Green, 23, has fast become a fan favourite at Harlequins after arriving from South Africa ahead of the 2020/21 season. A key figure in Quinsβ Premiership-winning season last year, Green has 35 appearances in the Famous Quarters to date.
The fullback was eased into life at the Stoop during his first season in South West London, but once he got an opportunity in the first-team squad, the South African capitalised making 22 appearances in his debut season.
Green has since gone on to become an electric threat at the heart of Harlequinsβ famous attacking brand of rugby, achieving remarkable success in his time with the Club.
He scored eight tries in a dream first season including one against Bristol Bears in the Premiership Semi-Final, a game in which he stood out as the Player of the Match. He started at fullback in the final a week later as Harlequins secured their second Premiership title.

Commenting on his new deal, Green said: βIβm very happy to re-sign with Quins. Iβve loved playing here in this jersey and it was fantastic to go all the way and lift the trophy during my first season here.
βI joined Harlequins because they are famous for playing the kind of attacking, fearless rugby that I like to be involved in. It plays to my strengths as a player and means that I love taking to the field and training every day.
βItβs fantastic to re-sign. Iβm looking forward to continuing on the journey with this team and we hope to keep building and winning.β
Harlequins Senior Coach Tabai Matson said: βItβs great that Tyrone has signed a new deal to remain with the Club. Heβs a truly fantastic competitor with some of the most dangerous footwork and attacking instincts in the league.
