Lamb linking up with Leicester

Former Gloucester and Northampton Saints flyhalf Ryan Lamb has made the move, along with four others, the Welford Road next season.

As well as bringing in prop Jerome Schuster and scrumhalf David Melé from French club Perpignan, Tigers will welcome Neil Briggs, Gonzalo Comacho, Jamie Gibson and Owen Williams.

Hooker Briggs arrives from London Welsh, back row forward Gibson moves from London Irish. These two, as well as Lamb, are England Saxons internationals.

Argentina international wing Gonzalo Camacho joins his third English club after previous spells with Harlequins and Exeter Chiefs, while the 21-year-old Williams is a former Wales Under-20 international who scored 21 points in an LV= Cup win for the Scarlets over the Tigers in Llanelli last October.

Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: "It is important that we have good strength and depth in our squad to keep us competitive through a long season and we feel the new signings can all make a big contribution here.

"Four of those players have extensive Premiership experience, which is important, while Owen Williams is a young man with a lot of ability and potential which we believe can be developed within the Tigers squad.

"Jerome Schuster and David Melé are established top-flight players in France and they are both keen to come here to take on a fresh challenge in a new environment," Cockerill added.

Tigers have already announced the names of players who will move on this summer, including club captain Geordan Murphy who is joining the coaching staff and prop Martin Castrogiovanni.

Brett Deacon and Matt Cornwell are moving on at the end of their second spells with the club. Along with these two, Kieran Brookes, George Ford, Andrew Forsyth, Jonny Harris, Alex Lewington, Jimmy Stevens and Micky Young have already announced moves to other Premiership clubs.
