Sarries draft in an old Bull

Saracens have signed former Blue Bulls hooker Brett Sharman from Bath until the end of the season.

Sharman began his career at the Blue Bulls, coming through the youth ranks until he made his senior debut in 2008 playing in both the Vodacom Cup and the Currie Cup.

In 2009, Sharman joined Northampton Saints, following Juandré Kruger who joined the Saints from the Bulls a few months earlier.

Although he was born in South Africa he holds a British passport and has expressed a desire to play for England in the future.

Sharman joined Bath Rugby in September 2012 on a short term contract after being released from Northampton following a long term knee injury.

Saracens Director of Rugby Mark McCall said of Sharman: "Brett has plenty of Premiership experience and we believe he will fit in to our environment extremely well”.
