Sloan commits to Harlequins

"I'm very happy and excited to have committed to the club," the 21 year-old said. "We are in a very good place at the minute and the future of our squad is really bright.

"I love the culture at Harlequins and the style of rugby we play is incredibly exciting. I've been here for four seasons and in that time I have developed good relationships with the coaches and players.

"I'm looking forward to continuing my development by learning from those around me and in turn push for higher honours."

One of 17 Academy graduates in the current Harlequins squad, Sloan has developed into a powerful running centre since joining the club in 2012.

Born in Tunbridge Wells, Sloan began his career at Cranbrook Rugby Club and represented London Under-16 and U18, alongside England Clubs and Schools.

While in the Harlequins Academy, Sloan was named in England's U20 squad, winning the 2013 U20s Six Nations, before winning back-to-back Junior World Cup titles.

Marking his senior debut for the club with a try in the 2012/13 Anglo-Welsh Cup Pool stages, he scored during his Premiership debut in March 2014. The centre has since made 24 appearances for Harlequins.

Confirming the news Harlequins Director of Rugby Conor O'Shea said: "Harry is a double Junior Rugby World Cup winner and suffered a number of injuries that are now behind him.

"He is playing the best rugby he has played for Quins and has shown that he can play at the highest level week in week out.

"Harry has a massive part to play for us as a club and his development will benefit massively from watching, playing and training alongside Jamie Roberts.

"It is really pleasing to see Harry make the first step to fulfil the potential he has and we are delighted he has re-signed."
