VIDEO: Manu Tuilagi sees red for elbow to the throat

England international Manu Tuilagi could get a lengthy ban after he was sent off for foul play during Sale Sharks’ 34-38 defeat to Northampton Saints at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday.

The 31-year-old received a red card just 13 minutes into the game for elbowing Northampton’s Tommy Freeman in the throat ‘while carrying the ball.

With the Six Nation resuming next weekend, Tuilagi’s participation for the rest of that tournament is in serious doubt.
