WC improved Farrell's overall game
Wasps stood strong in the face of intense Saracens pressure and were just three points down at the half, but the breakthrough moment for the away side came on the hour. Farrell and Duncan Taylor combined brilliantly not once but twice, scoring two quick-fire tries to send Saracens clear out of sight and top of the table.
Mark McCall's men are yet to be beaten home, away and abroad this season and though any number of their players deserve credit, Farrell has been sublime since returning from international duty and Sanderson believes the 23-year-old deserves all the plaudits that are coming his way.
"I think he's the first one to admit that coming back from the World Cup, he's a better player. He's got another element with his running game and distribution skills, bringing players towards him and putting them through gaps. He's improved massively during that period.
"We're really happy with some parts of that performance and in recent weeks. Wasps are a proper team, they're the best team we've faced in the last five or six weeks and they gave us a good run for our money.
"It's good to come away with a win up here at the Ricoh Arena. It was a touch of class by Farrell in the backline in the first phase move [for the Taylor try], and the second try we scored was off the back of all the pressure we built in the first half that we were happier with.
"That's the way we wanted to win the game, we wanted to squeeze Wasps," Saracens assistant coach Alex Sanderson.
Wasps have not yet hit the consistent heights of Saracens, despite hitting some huge highs already this season, but there is surely a bright future to look forward to at the Ricoh Arena.
After huge victories in Europe over Toulon, Leinster and Bath, they have won three out of seven Premiership matches but director of rugby Dai Young says his team's journey only just started in 2015.
"Saracens have been up there for three or four years but we haven't. So we're a work in progress, that's where we are. Sarries have built and built, they're a settled squad and we're on that journey. As we've seen today, we're not a million miles away.
"But you've got to give Saracens credit, they deserved to win but that four-minute period in the second half took the game away for us. It was nip and tuck until then, it looked a three-point game, but the first phase try was very disappointing from us," Young said.
