Wiese gets two-game ban

NEWS: Leicester Tigers No.8 Jasper Wiese has been given a two-game ban after getting three yellow cards this season.

The Springbok appeared before an independent disciplinary panel on Wednesday comprising of Charles Cuthbert(chair) with John Greenwood and Ollie Clark.

Wiese received his third yellow card of the 21/22 league season during his team’s 28-26 away win at Ashton Gate on Boxing Day against Bristol Bears, contrary to RFU Regulation 19.

The 26-year-old accepted that he had received three yellow cards this season.

He will miss his team’s Premiership clashes against Newcastle on January 2 and Wasps a week later.
