Prendergast signs with Bath
SPOTLIGHT: Bath confirmed the appointment of Mike Prendergast as their new backs and attack coach.
Prendergast will join Bath from Munster and will arrive at Farleigh House for the commencement of 2026/27’s pre-season.
Beginning his rugby career as a player at the Irish province, Prendergast has gone on to play for French side CS Bourgoin-Jallieu and spent time in the PREM with Gloucester before returning to his roots at Munster.
Prendergast has a wealth of coaching experience, shaping his leadership career in the French Rugby system after spending over a decade coaching at Grenoble FCG, Oyonnax, Stade Français and Racing 92.
From Paris, Prendergast returned to Munster, where he has spent the past four years as their attack coach, deciding to leave the region earlier this season.
Of joining Bath, Prendergast said: “I am really looking forward to joining a prestigious club like Bath and excited about getting stuck in.”
The club looks forward to adding Mike’s experience and skillset to its coaching set-up.
