According to RugbyPass, inside centre Andre Esterhuizen and prop Trevor Nyakane will be on their way to Durban at the end of the season.

Esterhuizen is set to fill the spot left by Rohan Janse van Rensburg, who has left the Sharks for the Eagles in Japan.

According to the report, English club Harlequins were demanding a £500,000 (ZAR12 million) transfer fee for Esterhuizen.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Nyakane was attracting interest from his former franchise, the Bulls, after being told that he won’t be offered another contract by his current employer Racing 92.

Nyakane, who will be 35 in May, has spent the last three years in Paris, and RugbyPass believes a formal announcement on his move to Durban is expected before the end of the month.

Both players were part of the Springbok squad that won the World Cup in France last year.
