Saracens forward learns fate following dangerous play

NEWS: Saracens lock Hugh Tizard had his verdict handed down to him following a dangerous charge during a Premiership clash against Newcastle Falcons on November 29.

Tizard appeared before an independent disciplinary panel charied by James Dingemans alongside Becky Essex and Daniel Gore.

The 24-year-old forward was charged with dangerous play in a ruck or a maul, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.20.

The incident for which Tizard received a red card, took place in a clash against Newcastle Falcons.

Tizard accepted the charge and received a six week ban.

He will be free to play against from January 14, 2025.
