Another injured flyhalf for Kings

Zono left the field in his side's 21-45 defeat to the Cheetahs with a knee injury. The flyhalf will be having an MRI scan on Monday to determine the full extent of the injury.

There is concern that he injured his collateral ligament.

"Oliver has damaged his knee but we'll only be able to confirm the severity of the injury after further examination and scans have been completed. I suspect there's ligament and meniscal damage and if that's the case then he will be unavailable for selection for quite a while," said team doctor Clement Plaatjies.

Meanwhile, Stephan Greeff suffered a laceration to the top of his right eye in the encounter, while Rowan Gouws took a knock to the jaw.

Bobby de Wee came off the field limping with a knee concern but he will be fit for the return match against the Cheetahs this weekend.

On the long-term injury front, Justin Forwood and Cyril-John Velleman are both doing well with their respective rehabilitation.

Luvuyo Pupuma could be integrated back into full team training and if all goes well he could be ready for Saturday's clash in Bloemfontein.

Entienne Swanepoel has also been reintegrated into full team training, while Rossouw de Klerk will be seeing the specialist for an old degeneration of his MCL and a meniscus tear as well.

The Kings are also holding out hope that Martin Dreyer (calf tear) will be ready for the team's upcoming tour. Andries van Schalkwyk is still out with a broken nose.
