Davies, Cittadini in the dock

Two players have been cited for foul play following the weekend's Pro12 matches.

Bradley Davies (Cardiff Blues) has been cited for an action contrary to Law 10.4 (h) – in the sixth minute of the match against Connacht at Cardiff last Friday, September 13.

Lorenzo Cittadini (Benetton Treviso) was cited for an action contrary to Law 10.4 (a) – after 20 minutes of the match against Scarlets at Llanelli last Saturday, September 14.

Hearings for both players will be held before an independent Pro12 disciplinary committee of three, with details to be confirmed.

* Law 10.4 (h) – A player must not charge into a ruck or maul. Charging includes any contact made without use of the arms, or without grasping a player.

* Law 10.4 (a) – A player must not strike an opponent with the fist or arm, including the elbow, shoulder, head or knee(s).
