Ireland international McCarthy heads to France

McCarthy, 35, has been at Leinster since 2013 having joined from Connacht, where he spent most of his career barring a couple of spells in England with Wasps and Newcastle.

He won the last of his 19 Ireland caps against France in last year's Six Nations clash at the Stade de France in Paris.

Narbonne, who announced the news on their Twitter account, are currently 11th in the Pro D2 and well off the promotion play-off places.
