Ospreys release Delve immediately

In 2015, Delve joined Ospreys on a two-year-deal from Super Rugby side Melbourne Rebels.

Since his arrival, the injury-plaqued No.8 has appeared in just two league matches, against Ulster on the opening night of the season and against Treviso six weeks later, featuring on the pitch for a total of 56 minutes.

It is understood the former league champions have activated a clause that allows them to part company with a player who is unavailable for 26 weeks in a year. Other clubs have previously released players under similar circumstances.

Ospreys wishes Delve all the best for his future as their part ways.
