Pivac happy to end losing streak
With two tries in the opening 20 minutes Scarlets were on course for a potential bonus point victory however weather conditions dictated the style of play with Zebre coming back to score two tries of their own in the region's 20-12 victory at the Parc on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking after the game Pivac was relieved to see his side securing the all important victory and four points to put the team back in second place in the Pro12 table.
"We're happy to get the win, that's the first thing that's obviously important in conditions like this. We knew this would be another hard game in the conditions.
"I was pleased with the first 25/30 minutes where we took our opportunities, but discipline then let us down in the last ten minutes of the first half.
"At the end of the day four points in these conditions is important. We have a lot to work on from the second half."
Scarlets take on Benetton Treviso at their Stadio Monigo home on Saturday and Pivac is fully aware of the task ahead.
"It's not going to be easy. We have to prepare well, get a good training week and improve on our discipline but we're excited about the next opportunity."
Scarlets will return to Parc y Scarlets on Saturday, December 19 to take on Glasgow Warriors in the European Rugby Champions Cup before the Boxing Day derby against Ospreys.
