Pivac proud of home record
With two tries and four penalties, Scarlets secured victory at Parc y Scarlets over regional rivals Ospreys on Saturday to keep their unbeaten home run in the Pro12 alive.
Following a narrow defeat to the Ospreys at the Liberty in the final game of 2014, the Scarlets were determined to keep the unbeaten home record alive and kick-off 2015 in style.
The performance didn't disappoint the 12,301 supporters in the ground with plenty of silky skills, evasive running and strong forwards platform on show.
"Obviously there's a proud record at home and it's something the boys are well aware of. We talked about it in the week and they're very protective of that.
"Defense was a big thing we wanted to work on. It was a lot better this week, communication and the whole defensive effort was right up there. The set piece scrum went well and we got points from that again this week. That's an asset for us at the moment," coach Wayne Pivac said.
The Scarlets face Glasgow at their Scotstoun home on Friday evening, looking for their first win on the road this season.
"When we're at home those energy levels are up, we need to take this type of performance on the road next week. The boys were focused and the self-belief was certainly there," he added.
