The South African-born back suffered a shoulder injury in the 13th minute of last Saturday's defeat to Glasgow Warriors and will undergo an acromioclavicular joint reconstruction to his left shoulder.

The Canadian international has made 19 appearances for the Scarlets since joining the region after the Rugby World Cup and has scored eight tries.
