Thomson has played six times in Super Rugby for the Stormers, making his debut in 2016 and scoring 26 points to date.

Director of Rugby Gert Smal said that this was a great opportunity for Thomson to gain some experience of European rugby in order to return to Cape Town a better player.

"Brandon will be exposed to different conditions and playing styles in Europe which can only make him a better player.

"We wish him well on his short stay in Glasgow and look forward to seeing what impact this has on his game," he said.
