England Sevens in 'a good place'

There have been different winners in each of the three tournaments so far and England currently sit in fourth place (behind South Africa, Fiji and New Zealand) following a second place finish in Dubai and strong showing in Wellington.

Dan Bibby's impressive form in last week's tournament saw him named in the World Rugby Dream Team.

"Back in December we were struggling with a lot of injuries so lost continuity when we headed into Cape Town from Dubai," said England head coach Somin Amor. "This time the squad is in a good place and, although we have kept things light, they have trained well this week.

"It was great to have Ethan Waddleton and Jack Wilson make their England debuts in Wellington and for Ruaridh McConnochie to play his second tournament and Cam Cowell his third. These young players will be better for that experience and our aim is to make another step up this weekend."

England squad: Tom Bowen, Dan Bibby, Cameron Cowell, Alex Davis, Richard DeCarpentier, Alex Gray, Warwick Lahmert, Ruaridh McConnochie, Tom Mitchell (captain), James Rodwell, Ethan Waddleton, Jack Wilson.
