The injury means the prop will miss Wales' matches against Italy and France.

Wales have opted not to bring in a replacement for Jones.

Wales confirmed the injury via a statement which read: "Prop Wyn Jones has been released from the Wales squad due to a hamstring injury sustained in Wales’ match against Ireland at the weekend.

"He will continue his recovery with the Scarlets medical team.  There has been no replacement called-up at this time,"
