Bok boost for Bulls' tour

Bulls captain Flip van der Merwe has been declared fit, following a hamstring injury, and will travel with team on their Australasian tour.

Van der Merwe missed the matches against the Sharks and Chiefs, but will be considered for the Bulls team to play the Hurricanes in Wellington on Saturday – their first match on their month-long tour that also sees them take on the Highlanders, Waratahs and Western Force.

The Bulls depart for New Zealand on Tuesday and will have a last training session at Loftus Versfeld before departure.

Morné Mellett (ankle sprain), Bjorn Basson (quad contusion), Callie Visagie (AC joint, shoulder) and Waylon Murray (knee) will sit out on Monday, but train on Tuesday.

Louis Fouché will undergo an ultrasound scan for a niggling knee strain.

Pierre Spies (bicep), Arno Botha (knee) and Frik Kirsten (neck) remains on the long-term rehabilitation list.
