Bond in hot water

Bond received a red card for foul play during a Super Rugby match at the weekend.

Bond is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (e) Dangerous tackling, when he made late contact with the head of Kolbe during the match. 

He attempted to tackle Kolbe, but made contact late and high.

The case is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAAR Duty Judicial Officer Michael Heron.

All SANZAAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to a Duty Judicial Officer hearing to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.

For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the DJO.
