Brown takes over at Sunwolves
NEWS: Tony Brown has taken over the head coaching role at the Sunwolves for the remainder of the 2018 Super Rugby season.
Head coach Jamie Joseph has returned to New Zealand for a procedure on a back problem.
“Although it was a very difficult decision to be unable to accompany the last three games of the season, it is necessary to make the best choice to achieve the goal of Japanese rugby,” Joseph said.
“I’m confident the Sunwolves will continue to evolve under the talented coach Tony Brown and support staff. I want to see their evolution tightly until the end of the 2018 season.”
The Sunwolves finish their season with matches against the Bulls, Waratahs and the Reds.
Joseph is also the head coach for the Japanese national team, while Brown is the attack coach for the Sunwolves and Japan.
