Brumbies brace for passionate Jaguares
The Argentinians will be keen to make amends after their disappointing 6-16 defeat to the Western Force in Round 12 before their bye in Round 13.
"They Jaguares] play with a lot of passion like Argentineans do," Fardy told brumbies.com.au.
"They are very physical and enjoy the battle at the scrum and they are incredibly hard to defend because of their offloads, and we must make sure we stay connected defensively, as they are slippery in the backs and great on the counter attack."
The Estadio Jose Amalfitani will play host to the encounter in Buenos Aires and Fardy is expecting fanatical support for the home side.
"The support is crazy here," Fardy said. "I think the guys may be surprised at how into it they are and the Canberra crowds could maybe learn a bit!
"They are always singing and whistling and there is a lot happening with the atmosphere being crazy. Preparing for that will be key and I think that the guys who have played Tests here will have to help the others."
The Brumbies are coming off a hard-fought and morale-boosting 19-10 win over the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth in Round 13 after the Canberra side lost their four previous matches.
"We very happy with the result," Fardy added. "The Kings are a very under-rated side and have been playing some good rugby, so it was great to get a result after what has been a few tough losses in a row.
"There was absolutely no panic at half-time [when the Brumbies trailed]. As a group, we just needed to get on with the job and eventually we would get the reward. We hadn't had that for a few weeks so belief was a big part of it. Believing in what we could do, and the guys were fantastic in that regard to turn it around.
"It was a credit to the backs who did the job of finishing off the opportunities for us and I was very happy with that. We have seen many times that we have had a lot of pressure on teams and hadn’t had the cutting edge at the end."
