Brumbies 'no different' from Crusaders
The Brumbies lost 23-48 to the Chiefs at home in Round Six and will want to build on their momentum after coming off a 26-20 victory over the Waratahs at Allianz Stadium last weekend, and co-captain Christian Lealiifano is well aware of the threats the in-form Crusaders pose going into the encounter.
"We're obviously really dissapointed with our last game we played here at home against the Chiefs, so we're looking to turn that around as well," said the 28-year-old flyhalf.
"The Crusaders are in pretty good form and you can't really pinpoint it, they play a very expansive game and they can punish you from anywehere on the field.
"I think the New Zealand sides are probably playing better than the others teams, but I think we're no different, we're just trying to get our momentum going.
The Brumbies have secured only two wins over the Crusaders in the last ten years, both coming at home and by small margins.
"In every game we've played them we've either been absolutely thumped or it's been really close, so I'm looking to turn that around," said Lealiifano.
"They're the best New Zealand franchise and after they lost Dan Carter and Richie McCaw everyone thought they'd drop a bit, but they just kept on breeding new depth and they've turned up the gear, so it's a challenge we're looking forward to.
The Brumbies, who are second in the Australasian conference, host the third-placed Crusaders at GIO Stadium, Canberra, on Sunday.
