Bulls are fit and firing

The Bulls will be welcoming back both Piet van Zyl and captain Flip van der Merwe into contention for their upcoming match against the Brumbies.

The men from Pretoria made good use of their bye, the week off allowing van der Merwe to complete his ban and overcome an injury niggle and giving Van Zyl time to be 100 percent.

William Small-Smith did not train on Monday due to a stomach ailment, but it should not last long enough to see him out of contention for the weekend's match

According to team doctor, Org Strauss, all of the squad are in good health and ready to take on the Australian conference leaders.

The Bulls are still without some of their bigger names, especially in the loose forwards, they continue to find themselves at home in the long-term injury list.

Players like Pierre Spies, who injured a bicep in the early rounds has a minimum of six months worth of recovery.

Arno Botha's knee, which has given him issues before, also puts him out for up to six months.

Dewald Potgieter and Deon Stegmann are others that still have a long way to go before they can boost the Bulls back-row forwards.
